NGC tickets go on sale

Cape Town - Golf fans can take heart that access to this year’s Nedbank Golf Challenge will not cost them a rand more than the 2013 tournament.

In announcing the opening of ticket sales for this year’s tournament at Sun City in the week of December 2-7, Sun International confirmed that there will be no increase in the price of tickets from last year. And children under 12 will gain free access for the duration of the tournament.

Adult access to “Africa’s Major” begins at R80 for a practice day to a maximum of R200 on the weekend, excluding an official programme.

Children under the age of 17 will gain free access on both practice days. Thereafter, children under 12 will have free access to the tournament, while children between the ages of 12 and 17 will pay R90 on the Thursday and Friday and R100 on the weekend, excluding an official programme.

And to ensure that nothing gets in the way of the action, there will be a Park and Ride facility from various points throughout Gauteng, departing at 07:00 and then leaving Sun City at 19:00. Buses will depart from Cedar Square, Northgate Shopping Centre, East Rand Mall, Menlyn Shopping Centre and Silverstar Casino at a cost of R320 per person return.

There will also be a bus service departing from Rustenburg’s Waterfall Mall at 14:30 daily and leaving Sun City at 21:00, at a cost of R140 return.

Tickets can be purchased at the Gary Player Country Club at Sun City, and will be available through Computicket from Wednesday, September 10.
