Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines - USA Ryder Cup captain Jim Furyk has denied Tiger Woods had a back problem on Friday after seeing his side slip 5-3 behind Europe.

Woods alongside partner Patrick Reed lost their Friday, fourball match 4&3 to European pair Francesco Molinari and Tommy Fleetwood.

Woods sat our Friday's foursomes, but was back in action on Saturday morning, once again partnered with Reed against Molinari and Fleetwood and once again the European duo came out on top, this time 3&1.

Furyk stuck with his former world No 1 14-time Major champion in Saturday's foursomes, this time alongside rookie Bryson DeChambeau against, once again, Molinari and Fleetwood.
