Cape Town - Hideki Matsuyama is eager to get his season back on track as he returns to the scene of his first PGA Tour win this week.
The Japanese superstar burst on the the scene when he defeated Kevin Na in a playoff to win the 2014 Memorial Tournament. Matsuyama has notched up seven professional wins since, including on three consecutive outings late last year.

"Hopefully I'm on the upswing, but to be honest, my swing isn't where I'd like it to be and I'm not putting very well.
"Coming back to Muirfield Village, there are some special vibes here and hopefully that will encourage my game to play much better than I have been the last couple of months."

This week, Matsuyama has gone back to his old putter is the hopes of curbing his poor form on the greens.

"I've been practising a lot with the centre shaft putter, hoping to find something, to find a good feeling, to find something that suits me. But unfortunately I haven't," he added.
"So I've gone back to my Ace putter this week and hopefully that will wake up and do some good."

The Memorial Tournament tees off at Muirfield Village Golf Club on Thursday, with William McGirt as the defending champion.
