Day strengthens rankings lead

Paris - Jason Day's win at the US PGA Players Championship on Sunday allowed the Australian to strengthen his lead in the world rankings from Jordan Spieth.

Spieth missed the cut at Sawgrass while world number three Rory McIlroy came in 12th.

There were no changes in the top 10.
