Van der Walt earns PGA Tour card

Cape Town - South African golfer Dawie van der Walt was among the first 25 golfers to earn a PGA Tour card for the 2015/16 season via the Web.com Tour.

With 50 PGA Tour membership cards available for next season on the Web.com Tour, the 29-year-old South African was among the first 25 to automatically receive his membership to the main US Tour after the last "regular season" event.

Despite finishing in a tie for 26th place at the WinCo Foods Portland Open, the Lamar-University alumni finished comfortable inside the Top 25 of the Web.com Tour money list to secure his debut season on the PGA Tour.

Van der Walt won two events in the tour this season, including the Price Cutter Charity Championship

The Web.com now moves to it's four-event final starting on September 10

Van Der Walt heads into the finals in third place behind Patton Kizzire and Martin Pillar.
