Ponte Vedra Beach - Adam Scott, Justin Rose, Phil Mickelson and Jason Dufner will all have major titles to defend as the USPGA Tour announced their 2013-14 schedule on Monday.

The first five events, known as the Fall series, of the season will be played in October and November.

Once January comes around, the tour starts the first weekend in Hawaii with the Tournament of Champions, which will run from January 3-6.

The following week the tour heads to Waialae in Hawaii for the Sony Open, before switching to the western United States for the west coast swing portion of the season.

There are a couple of stops in Texas - for the Texas Open and Houston Open - before Scott heads to Augusta to defend his Masters title in April.

Following the year's first major, the schedule for the eight events leading up to the second major championship are unchanged.

Two more Texas events precede The Memorial, which is followed by the St Jude Classic and the season's second major, the US Open where England's Rose will defend his title at the Pinehurst golf course.

The John Deere Classic again precedes the British Open, where Mickelson will defend his claret jug at Royal Liverpool in the third major of the season.

The US tour then returns to North America for the Canadian Open in Montreal, in Canada's Quebec province.

The WGC-Bridgestone Invitational is the following week and has the Reno-Tahoe Open being played opposite of it again.

Next up is the final major of the season, the PGA Championship, where Dufner will defend the Wanamaker Trophy at Valhalla.

The Wyndham Championship is the final regular season event before the FedExCup playoffs.

The four playoff events start the week after the Wyndham and there will not be a week-long break during the playoffs next year like there was in 2013.

The Ryder Cup will be played at Gleneagles in Scotland from September 26-28.
