Cape Town - World number one Rory McIlroy appears to be in line to take his place in the field for the 2015 PGA Championship next week.
McIlroy ruptured ankle ligaments on July 4 which prevented the Northern Irishman from defending his Open Championship at St Andrews.
McIlroy took to Instagram with a video of himself on the range with the caption: "Feels good to hit the driver again!"
The latest video has further increased speculation that the star golfer may yet tee off at Whistling Straits on Thursday, August 13 when the year's final major gets underway.
The four-time major winner is the defending champion after winning the 2014 event at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
