SCOREBOARD: 148th Open Championship

accreditation

Cape Town - The 148th Open Championship is underway at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.

Out of the 11 South Africans in the field this week, only six made the cut: Ernie Els, Louis Oosthuizen, Justin Harding, Branden Grace, Dylan Frittelli and Erik van Rooyen.

The last time a South African lifted the famed Claret Jug was in 2012 when Els won by single stroke at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
