St Andrews - Alexander Noren of Sweden has withdrawn from the British Open to be played at St Andrews and been replaced by Japanese player Hiroshi Iwata.
There was no reason given for Noren pulling out when the R&A made the announcement on Sunday.
Noren, who won the Nordea Masters in his native country last month, played just two tournaments in 2014 due to tendinitis in both wrists.
The Open starts on Thursday.
