Masters winner to pocket cool $2.07 million!

Augusta - The winner of the 83rd Masters will pocket $2.07 million (R29 million) of a $11.5 million purse, organisers announced on Saturday.

The first prize tops the $1.98 million won by 2018 champion Patrick Reed and 2017 winner Sergio Garcia from total purses of $11 million.

The runner-up will take home $1.242 million - up from the $1.188 claimed by runner-up Rickie Fowler last year.

2019 Masters prize money:

Total purse: $11.5 million

1st prize: $2.07 million

2nd place: $1.242 million

3rd place: $782 000

4th place: $552 000

5th place: $460 000
