Hamburg - Former golf world number one Martin Kaymer is ending his partnership with coach Pete Cowen at the end of the year.
Germany's top golfer told dpa that Cowen, who has been helping Kaymer with his short game, would no longer be used by him from next year.
Kaymer will work exclusively with long-time coach Guenter Kessler. "The work with Pete has brought me a great deal and extended my options on the golf course," Kaymer told dpa.
"But looking at the results I have to be self-critical and say that they were not to my satisfaction."
Kaymer has gone a year without a victory and is currently 39th in the world rankings.
