Watson seeks to end year on Thai high

Bangkok - Two-time Masters winner Bubba Watson said he was hoping to end his year on a high by breaking his duck at the Thailand Golf Championship.

The flamboyant shot-maker will be seeking his first win after three previous attempts when he tees up alongside Lee Westwood, Sergio Garcia and Darren Clarke from December 10-13.

"The only thing missing from my three trips so far is the trophy," the American world number four said in comments released by organisers on Wednesday.

"I feel like I've been playing well enough to win, so if I can do it in Thailand, that would be the icing on the cake. It would mean ending my year on a real high."

Watson, whose best finish at the event was tied second on his debut three years ago, is seeking his second victory of the year after he won the Travelers Championship in June.
