Gothenburg - Popular English golfer Andrew Johnston surprised the crowds at the Nordea Masters on Friday by changing his trousers midway through his second round.
The 29-year-old, playing in his first tournament since June after struggling with injury, swapped his trousers for waterproofs in preparation for incoming rain.
He posted a video of the incident on Twitter, with the caption "BRIEF DELAY on the course".
Johnston, nicknamed 'Beef', carded a 68 to sit at two-under par at the halfway stage of the European Tour event in Gothenburg.
Nearer the top of the leaderboard, European Ryder Cup hopeful Thorbjorn Olesen fired himself into contention with a four-under 66 to reach six-under overall, five strokes behind joint-leaders Scott Jamieson and Paul Waring.
Olesen is just outside the top eight on the European points lists which automatically earn a place in September's showdown with the United States in Paris, but has a chance to impress captain and fellow Dane Thomas Bjorn this weekend.
