Johnson bags BMW at Wentworth

Wentworth - England's Andrew Johnson has holed-in-one on the first day of the European PGA Championship at Wentworth on Thursday and won himself a new car.

Johnston aced the par-3 168-metre 10th hole using a seven-iron earning himself a BMW M4 worth approximately €70 000 euros.

It was the second hole-in-one of his career and the 30th on the European Tour this season.

The 26-year old Johnston was still struggling on four-over par after 13 holes despite the eagle, nine shots of the early pace set by Sweden's Robert Karlsson who had a 67.

There was no such luck for Scotland's Craig Lee who holed-in-one at the 141-metre second hole using an 8-iron.

Lee's blow got him to one-under par but there was no bonus prize available at the second. He had slipped to two-over par by the 11th.
