Cape Town - Proteas opening batsman Graeme Smith announced on his Twitter page that his Irish wife, Morgan, is pregnant.

"Best Birthday present ever... Im delighted to announce that Morgan is pregnant and we are both extremely excited and feel very blessed," wrote Smith.

Smith, who celebrates his 31st birthday today, married Morgan, 25, in August last year in an intimate ceremony in Cape Town.
