Cape Town - Former England spinner Monty Panesar did not have the best day at the office when appearing on quiz show, Mastermind.
The show, which aired over the weekend, saw Panesar battle his way through 15 questions. He got 1 correct.
Clearly a little nervous, things got worse for Panesar and after he got his first question right, getting his next 14 wrong.
When asked: "In an 1819 poem, what season of the year does Keats describe as 'a season of mist and mellow fruitfulness'?", Panesar responded with: "Oliver Twist."
And when asked: "Birds described as 'pelagic' spend most of their lives flying over what?", Panesar responded with: "The sky." The answer was water.
Being the good sport that he is, Panesar kept smiling throughout.
Well played, Monty!
