WATCH: 'Million dollar man' Morris arrives for IPL

Cape Town - Chris Morris, dubbed the 'Million dollar man', has arrived in India where he will represent the Delhi Capitals in this year's IPL.

The 31-year-old allrounder may not be in the Proteas' 2019 World Cup plans currently, but he is clearly loved in Delhi.

The franchise posted a video to its Twitter timeline of Morris speaking shortly after he landed in Delhi, and he was greeted by numerous messages of support.

"It's very good to be back in Delhi. It's my home away from home," Morris said.

"I'm just ready to get going and am excited to join up with the squad and meet the new guys."

Morris missed his side's opening match of the tournament because he was on international duty with the Proteas, who completed a 3-0 T20I series win over Sri Lanka at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on Sunday.

Morris was given the nickname of 'Million dollar man' after he pocketed around R16 million when he was first signed by Delhi ahead of the 2016 IPL.
