WATCH: Ex-Zim bowler stuns on The Voice Australia

Cape Town - Former Zimbabwe fast bowler Henry Olonga blew away the judges and fans when he appeared in a blind audition of The Voice Australia.

Olonga sang "This is the Moment" by Andrew Warlow from the musical Jekyll & Hyde.

The 42-year-old played 30 Tests and 50 ODIs for Zimbabwe from 1995-2003.

In 2003, Olonga and team-mate Andy Flower staged a protest against the regime of Robert Mugabe at the 2003 Cricket World Cup.

Olonga and Flower walked out during their game against Zimbabwe in Harare wearing at black armbands "mourning the death of democracy".

Olonga, who was the first black man to play for Zimbabwe, was ostracised by cricket officials loyal to Mugabe and hounded by death threats.

He never played for Zimbabwe again after the 2003 World Cup and was exiled from his county.

He spent some time at a safe house before fleeing to Britain. He eventually settled in Australia, where he now lives with his wife Tara and children.
