WATCH | David Warner shaves his head in support of medical staff battling coronavirus

With medical professionals across the globe risking their lives on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic, Australian batsman David Warner wanted to show his appreciation for the work they are doing.

The opening batsman posted a video on his Instagram handle in which he shaves his head as a show of solidarity and appreciation for the hard-working professionals battling the disease.

“Been nominated to shave my head in support of those working on the frontline #Covid-19 here is a time-lapse. I think my debut was the last time I recall I’ve done this. Like it or not?” Warner wrote on Instagram.

More than 4 500 people in Australia have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus, while the death toll stands at 19.
