WATCH: Chris Gayle takes ridiculous slip catch!

Cape Town - West Indian superstar Chris Gayle was in the news for his performance in the final of the Global T20 Canada League on Sunday, but it had nothing to do with his batting.

Representing the Vancouver Knights, Gayle was taking on the West Indies 'B' side in the tournament final.

Gayle, who would go on to captain the Knights to victory, only made 2 with the bat as his side chased down the 146 they needed for the trophy.

It was in the first innings, though, where Gayle made a major impression.

Standing at first slip and with West Indies 'B' battling at 105/6, Gayle pulled off a simply stunning catch off the bowling of Fawad Ahmed to dismiss Kavem Hodge for 14.

The ball moved quickly to the towering opener, who moved well to his left to make the grab with his left hand.

He couldn't take the catch cleanly, though, and as the ball popped up he snatched at it with his right hand to take a stunning catch.

You have to see it to believe it!

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
