Cape Town - Another clinical, all-round performance by the Proteas women saw them notch up another win against Bangladesh, this time by 154 runs when they met for the fourth ODI in Kimberley on Friday.

The home side are now four-nil up in the five-match series.

Half-centuries by Lizelle Lee (70 off 102 runs) at the top of the innings and stand-in captain Chloe Tryon at the latter end, saw the hosts post a competitive 230/7 after they won the toss and elected to bat first.

Another solid start by Lee and opening partner, Laura Wolvaardt had them put on 72 runs before the latter fell to Nahida Akter (2/36) in the 21st over.

Trisha Chetty (31 off 41 deliveries) was the only other batter to chip in with a notable score before wickets began to fall at regular intervals.

Andrie Steyn and Mignon du Preez departed for 11 and three runs respectively, leaving the home team on 159/5 before Tryon blasted 60 runs from 42 balls, her knock including six boundaries and two maximums.

Bangladesh’s Akter and Jahanara Alam (2/54) had the most success with the ball in hand, returning two wickets each.

Their batting reply was once again punctured by regular strikes by the Proteas.

Never being allowed to settle in, the batters lost wickets from the word go when Ayabonga Khaka dismissed opener Sanjida Islam for one in the second over of their innings.

Another team effort by the bowling unit saw Shabnim Ismail (2/8), Raisibe Ntozakhe (2/10) and Suné Luus (2/12) take two wickets each, while Zintle Mali (1/23), Khaka (1/11) and Player of the Match, Tryon (1/11) chipped in with one.

The last match of the series will take place at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein on Monday, May 14.
