Streak takes over from Ntini as Zim head coach

Cape Town - Zimbabwe have appointed former star fast bowler Heath Streak as their head coach, taking over from South Africa pace legend Makhaya Ntini, the interim coach.

Ntini will revert to his role as bowling coach, while fellow South African Lance Klusener, the famous all-rounder, will still be the batting consultant.

Streak, who previously worked with Bangladesh, was picked ahead of the likes of Andy Blignaut and Peter Kirsten, and is tasked with taking the team to the World Cup in England in 2019.

Streak, who was the Zim bowling coach for four years until 2013, will need to get ready quickly as his first assignment is a Test series against Sri Lanka later this month.
