Cape Town - South African trio Colin Ingram, Wayne Parnell and Cameron Delport will take part in this year's inaugural Afghanistan Premier League (APL).
The draft for the T20 league was held on Monday, which sees at least 34 overseas players set to be part of the inaugural edition of the tournament.
There are five teams - which are represented by provincial regions of Afghanistan namely Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, Nangarhar & Balkh - that will be fighting for the coveted prize.
T20 specialists Shahid Afridi, Andre Russell, Chris Gayle and Brendon McCullum were among the big names snapped up by franchises in the APL draft.
Parnell, who was in the silver category, was bought for $30 000 (R452 642) by the Kabul franchise.
Ingram, also snapped up by Kabul, was listed in the gold category and was bought for $50 000 (R754 400).
Dolphins all-rounder Delport was placed in the gold category and was bought for $50 000 (R754 400) by Paktia.
The APL is scheduled between October 5 and October 23 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
