Cape Town - With an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five match Cricket South Africa Women’s One-Day International series against Bangladesh already in the bag, the Proteas have no thoughts of easing up on their opponents
In fact, they want a 5-0 series win.
South Africa have completely dominated their counterparts from the subcontinent, winning the first three matches by 106 runs, nine wickets (with 197 balls remaining) and nine wickets (with 211 balls remaining).
According to the ICC website, interim coach, Saliegh Nackerdien, says there will be no let up from his charges in the remaining fixtures.
“We want to win 5-0, that’s our goal. We wanted to dominate the series with bat and ball, and on the field," said Nackerdien after the third ODI between the two nations.
Nackierdien's sentiments were shared by opener Lizelle Lee.
“We really want to go 5-0 up," said Lee after the match.
Lee was please that the Proteas were executing all their disciplines effectively during the series.
“This is the first time in a while that everybody has contributed. Normally it was only the bowlers doing so well and the batters failing us. It’s good to see the batters do well.”
The next match in the series takes place on Friday, May 11 in Kimberley.
