PICTURE | Kallis' celebrate birth of baby boy

Former Proteas star all-rounder Jacques Kallis and his wife, Charlene, welcomed their first baby into the world on Wednesday.

Kallis confirmed the news of the birth of his son, Joshua, with a post on his Instagram account.

"Welcome to the world Joshua Henry Kallis," he wrote.

"Most incredible day of both our lives. Hearts exploding with love. Truly blessed."

He married longtime girlfriend Charlene Engels in January 2019.

Kallis, who is currently the Proteas batting consultant this summer, will not be with the team during their ongoing three-match ODI series in India.

The 44-year-old is still widely regarded as one of the finest ever all-rounders having played 166 Tests, 328 ODIs and 25 T20Is for South Africa between 1995 and 2014.
