Pattinson out again with shin soreness

Sydney - Test fast bowler James Pattinson will miss the remainder of the Australian domestic cricket season due to a return of shin soreness which has recently limited his international appearances.

Pattinson suffered a recurrence of the injury during the second Test of the recent two-Test series against New Zealand, having missed the first test because of soreness in his left shin.

Australia team physiotherapist David Beakley said scans after the second Test at Christchurch had shown "some inflammation around the shin consistent with bone stress."

He said Pattinson "will now require some time off to allow this injury to resolve and will not be available for the remainder of the domestic cricket season."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
