Pakistan recall Shehzad for World T20

Islamabad - Pakistan has recalled Ahmed Shehzad for the World Twenty20 in India to replace batsman Khurram Manzoor after a poor run of form in the Asia Cup.

Chief selector Haroon Rasheed says Manzoor couldn't justify his selection in the Asia Cup where Pakistan lost against India and hosts Bangladesh with the right-handed batsman scoring only 11 runs in three matches.

Rasheed also said the team management and captain Shahid Afridi were consulted by the selection committee before deciding on the replacement.

Shehzad, who has played 40 Twenty20 internationals, was dropped due to his poor form over the last 12 months, but performed better in the Pakistan Super League with two half centuries and guided Quetta Gladiators into the final of PSL.
