Mzansi Super League tickets to start at R50

Cape Town - Mzansi Super League (MSL) T20 tournament tickets will go on sale on Friday morning, starting at R50 each for all 32 matches.

The tournament is scheduled to take place between November 16 to December 16.

Children under the age of 3 will get into the grounds for free, while those between 3 and 18 as well as pensioners will pay half-price.

The tournament starts with a traditional Cape-Tshwane rivalry, with Cape Town Blitz taking on Tshwane Spartans at Newlands on Friday, November 16 (19:00).

Both outfits are coached by former Proteas stalwarts in Ashwell Prince (Blitz) and Mark Boucher (Spartans) as they lead their galaxy of assembled stars into the inaugural event’s first weekend.

On Saturday evening, Jozi Stars tackle the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants at Wanderers Stadium at 19:00 in a furious contest before the weekend concludes with two explosive fixtures - Durban Heat hosting Cape Town Blitz at Kingsmead Stadium (11:30) and Paarl Rocks padding up against the Tshwane Spartans at Boland Park (15:30).

"We have made tickets easily obtainable and available at a reasonable cost to go with our objective of making the MSL T20 matches affordable to the general public - old and new," Cricket South Africa Chief Executive Thabang Moroe commented:

"This is a new competition with new teams, new funky team logos and kits. We hope to see everyone joining us as we formally launch 'FAST. FUN. FOR ALL' cricket at all six venues where the MSL T20 will take place. There are other entertainment features and activations that we will reveal closer to the tournament start."

Tickets will be available through www.ticketpros.co.za and across all TICKETPRO retail outlets - Edgars, Jet, CNA and Spar across the country.
