Cape Town - Former Proteas fast bowler Morne Morkel has extended his stay at English county club Surrey until the end of the 2020 season.
According to the club's website, Morkel had originally signed a two-year deal, but has now extended his stay in London until at least the end of the 2020 summer.
Morkel, who retired from international cricket in April last year, made a huge impact in first full season of domestic cricket, taking 59 wickets with an average of 14.32 in the 10 matches he played.

Morkel steered Surrey to a dramatic victory at the Kia Oval against Lancashire as they clinched the 2018 County Championship title.
Surrey CCC Director of Cricket, Alec Stewart, said: "Morne was outstanding for us during his first season, both on and off the field. I am delighted he has extended his contract with the club."
Morkel is currently with his young family in Sydney but will rejoin with Surrey on the club's impending pre-season training camp in Dubai, travelling back to London in late March.
