Cape Town - It was comical on the surface, but former England batsman Kevin Pietersen was not chuffed about his photograph being attached to a newspaper article on the sensational match-fixing news to emerge out of South Africa this past weekend.

A Bangladesh-based English daily, the Dhaka Tribune, ran a story on former Proteas batsman - Alviro Petersen - responding this weekend to the news that he was being charged under Cricket South Africa's (CSA) anti-corruption code for match-fixing allegations relating to last season's domestic T20 competition.

But, instead of running a photograph of Petersen, the newspaper ran a photograph of Pietersen.

'KP', currently in Hobart commentating on the second Test between Australia and South Africa, did not take kindly to the mistake.

The newspaper later apologised.
