Kiwis want more detail on day-night Test

Wellington - New Zealand Cricket says it is enthusiastic about playing a day-night Test in India later this year but several hurdles have to be jumped before the match can be confirmed.

Indian Cricket secretary Anurg Thakur said on Thursday the itinerary for the New Zealand tour would include the first day-night test to be played in Asia.

NZC's head of cricket operations Lindsay Crocker said New Zealand "hadn't considered that would be an option so there's a bit of water to go under the bridge from our side."

Crocker said there would need to be more information about the venue and the quality of its lights, playing conditions and practice opportunities. He said there would also be discussions with New Zealand players and team management.
