Cape Town - Former Proteas batsman Herschelle Gibbs has been appointed as the head coach of Kuwait’s national cricket team.
Gibbs’ immediate challenge is to head the Kuwait team in the ICC World T20 sub-regional qualifiers that will take place in the country in April.
The 44-year-old Gibbs played in 90 Tests, 248 ODIs and 23 T20 internationals for the Proteas.
His most recent coaching job was in Afghanistan’s T20 domestic league last September.
