Ganguly 'definitely interested' in India coaching post

Cape Town - Former India captain Sourav Ganguly says he is "definitely interested" in becoming the head coach of his country's cricket team, but only in the future.

The BCCI are scanning through a host of CV's that have applied for the post of India coach.

The post for the position will become vacant after the current tour of the West Indies with current incumbent Ravi Shastri and his staff asked to reapply if they want to keep their jobs.

Ganguly said that he has current commitments but would definitely put his name in the hat in the future.

"Definitely, I'm interested but not at this point of time. Let one more phase go then I will throw my name into the fray," Ganguly told Press Trust of India.

"Currently, I'm associated with too many things - IPL, CAB (Cricket Association of Bengal, where Ganguly is president), TV commentary.

"Let me complete this. But I will definitely put my hat at some stage. Provided I get selected. But definitely I'm interested. Not now, but in the future."

India are currently on a full tour to the Caribbean where they will play three T20Is, three ODIs and two Test matches.
