Cape Town - Proteas all-rounder Wayne Parnell is set for an extended run in English county cricket with Worcestershire.
According to Cricinfo, the 29-year-old will be available for the club until mid-September, when he will return home to South Africa to start the domestic season with the Cape Cobras.
Parnell, who has only recently recovered from a serious shoulder injury, will be available for six Vitality T20 Blast matches and the knockouts as well as four County Championship matches.
Parnell last played for the Proteas in last October's home Test series against Bangladesh and he will be looking to catch the attention of the national selectors as preparations for the 2019 World Cup in England continue.
"I fully believe in my unique skill set and I back my ability with bat and ball to contribute to Worcestershire and the Cape Cobras' cause," the website quoted Parnell as saying.
Parnell has played six Test matches, 65 ODIs and 40 T20Is since making his international debut in 2009.
