Durban - The Dolphins have rallied around talented right-arm offspinner Prenelan Subrayen as he commences his rehabilitation of his bowling action after being ruled out of action with immediate effect on Friday.

Subrayen, having been through the process once already, undergoes the rehab with the full backing of the Dolphins, the franchise’s team management and his team-mates.

“We are obviously disappointed with the findings, however Prenelan (Subrayen)’s action is clearly an issue that needs to be addressed,” said Dolphins assistant coach Rivash Gobind.

“The young man has been through this once before and previously showed tremendous mental toughness and determination to correct his bowling action and we are confident he can do so again.

“Prenelan has the full support of the Dolphins coaching staff in order to rehabilitate his action to a point where he doesn’t have this issue again in the future,” he added.

Subrayen has played a pivotal role in the Dolphins' opening four Ram Slam T20 Challenge matches, all of which the Durban franchise won.
