Cape Town - The five members of the South Africa A ODI squad contracted to Titans and the Knights will be made available to play for their respective franchises when the One-Day Cup competition resumes at the Diamond Oval on Friday.

The players are Dean Elgar, Theunis de Bruyn, David Wiese and Marchant de Lange of the Titans and Reeza Hendricks of the Knights.

“The decision to release these players makes both logistical and cricketing sense,” explained SA A head coach, Vincent Barnes. “Playing in a competitive match provides perfect preparation for our limited overs series against the England Lions.

“They will join their franchises for Friday’s match and then return to Bloemfontein on Saturday for our opening match against the Lions on Sunday.”
