Rain again wins at Kingsmead

Durban - Torrential rain throughout the day washed out the RAM Slam T20 match between the Dolphins and play-off chasing Warriors at Kingsmead on Tuesday.

The toss was delayed at 17:30 with rain still lashing down, along with the outfield being entrenched with water and it took no more than five minutes for the official call to be made.

It had been raining since Sunday evening in the city and the downpours continued ever since leaving little choice but to abandon the game.

The hosts are already out of the competition, but the visitors needed to win one of their remaining two games to assure their progress to the playoffs.

As it stands, the two points collected for the abandonment push them into third spot and they will need to win their final match against the Cape Cobras to guarantee a top three finish.
