Three RAM SLAM T20 matches took place at the Wanderers on Sunday and fans were informed that should they take a catch in the stands, they would could win R1m at the end of the competition.
However, what these two fans didn't know was they had to be over 18 to be eligible for the prize.
According to Netwerk24, Liam Banks (17) and Arno Kotze (15) both took spectacular catches in the stands and were under the impression that they would come into consideration for the R1m.
Both were visibly disappointed when organisers informed them that they were too young.
A spokesperson for the sponsors said the information was relayed to fans by the stadium announcer but said that "few people really listen to what the announcer says".
Twitter was abuzz with reaction to the news...

Catching a ball for a million bucks is very different to gambling. Surely. #RamSlamT20 #GiveLiamBanksTheCash

Solution: Buy #LiamBanks a car to the value of money he would've won? #GiveLiamBanksTheCash #RamSlamT20

Would love to know what the lawyers have to say about these kids catching these 6s but not being able to claim the R1-million?

Just heard that the 1st kid who took a one-handed catch at Wanderers received a signed cricket ball & some hospitality in Ram suite #shocker

So another 1-handed catch is taken & suddenly we hear of yet another condition - you have to be a South African citizen! RamSlam offsides!

Phenomenal catch taken by this kid, who is unfortunately ineligible for the Million because he's under 18 https://t.co/8e6mTijXA5
