Cape Town - Cricket South Africa (CSA) have congratulated the Cape Cobras on winning the RAM SLAM T20 Challenge final at Newlands on Friday evening.
"The RAM SLAM has once again delivered a brilliant T20 competition," commented CSA chief executive, Haroon Lorgat.
"We are delighted with the improvements from last year which included growing our global TV audience and the successful participation of foreign players.
"We will look to enhance this even further next year.
"Congratulations to the Cape Cobras who were the deserved winners and also to all the players who excelled to such a high standard and made this an entertaining competition.
"There is no doubt that the participation of some of the finest T20 players to be found anywhere in the world has made a lasting impact.
"True to form the T20 format also lends itself to unearthing new and exciting talent and the likes of George Linde and Shadley van Schalkwyk, both of whom played in the final, are good examples.
"I would like to thank RAM HAND-TO-HAND for their innovative support of this competition and to our broadcast partners, SuperSport, who continue to bring world-class productions to our fans.
"Congratulations are also due to Kallie van der Merwe and Bosman Puren, the two successful fans in the ‘Win a Million’ competition for taking a clean one-handed catch and sharing the jackpot of R1-million.
"Finally our best wishes go with the Cobras and the Knights who will represent us in next year’s Champions League T20."
