Cape Town - The popular RAM SLAM T20 Catch R2 million bagged it’s third winner in Friday evening’s clash between the Knights and Dolphins at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.

Ruan Willemse, a 24-year-old, who resides in Tzaneen took the clean one-handed catch off Dolphins batsman Dane Vilas with Eddie Leie the bowler. The teacher and cricket coach at Ben Vorster High School in Tzaneen, Limpopo, says that whilst he last played cricket in school, he still takes the game very seriously.

“I am so shocked... I have no idea what to make of it all! I am trying not to think about it too much, but it’s hard not to get excited! First thing I’d do with my winnings is pay off my debts," he said.

RAM Hand to Hand Couriers Executive chairperson David Lazarus congratulated the competition’s winners to date. “This campaign is always so well received and just seems to go from strength to strength. I’m delighted to see our third 2017 winner of the Catch R2 million competition - well done!”

Willemse goes on to join two previous winners in Andrew Scott and Dylan Joubert, making the individual winnings currently standing at R666 666 each.
