With the

match against Sri Lanka at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead, Petersen could not have
chosen a better moment to remind the selectors of his ability.
He finished
on 115 (180 balls, 15 fours and 3 sixes) and shared an opening stand of 181 in
55 overs with Stephen Cook who finished the day unbeaten on 95 (217 balls, 11
fours). The Lions will resume their first innings on 248/4 with the second new
ball just three overs away.

The
