Cape Town - Simon Harmer continued his stellar season with yet another five-for to put the Warriors on top at the end of the third day of their Sunfoil Series match against the Titans at Buffalo Park in East London on Saturday.

The off-break bowler bagged five for 74 to take his tally for the season to 35 wickets in six games and help bowl the log-leaders out for 213 - a deficit of 69.

The hosts then stretched that to 220 by stumps, which they reached on 151 for one thanks to an excellent 124-run second wicket stand between Colin Ackermann (74 off 105 balls, 6 fours, 2 sixes) and Eddie Moore (48 off 155 balls, 1 four).

The Titans had begun day three in a degree of trouble on 111 for five but with Standard Bank Proteas pair Farhaan Behardien and Chris Morris batting together.

The pair added 94 together for the sixth wicket, before all-rounder Morris fell to Harmer, who completed his 19th career five-for, for 39.

Captain Behardien went on to score 97 (200 balls, 13 fours) as he ran out of partners following some good pace bowling from the other end where Tladi Bokako finished with three for 20 - the Titans dismissed in 85.3 overs.

Tabraiz Shamsi (1/38) removed the in-form Gihahn Cloete (21) early on and play was then stopped for bad light not long thereafter.

But Ackermann and Moore had no problem with the light once they returned and put the Warriors in a controlling position, one they could try and use to push on for a result on day four.
