Warriors, Knights washed out

Johannesburg - The domestic first-class match between the Warriors and the Knights was abandoned in East London on Tuesday without a ball bowled.

With half the match already washed out at Buffalo Park, play was not possible on the morning of the third day and the game was abandoned due to the weather.

The Warriors were left lying second in the Sunfoil Series standings, nearly nine points behind log leaders the Cape Cobras, and the Knights were in third place, more than 10 points further back.

Only four of the 10 matches in the competition have produced results this season, with three games abandoned and three ending in draws.

The Titans and the Highveld Lions, competing in the Champions League T20 tournament, filled the bottom two spots in the table but both sides held two games in hand.
