Rain wins at the Wanderers

Johannesburg -  Persistent rain was the winner on the second day of the Sunfoil Series match between the bizhub Highveld Lions and the Nashua Titans at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.  Play started on time under grey Highveld skies, but the bizhub Highveld Lions managed to bowl just two balls before the heavens opened.

With two runs added to the overnight score, the Nashua Titans trail by 278 going into the third day, which will start early to make up some time.  They do have all their first innings wickets intact.

The Nashua Titans are playing for pride, but will always be out to beat their neighbouring rivals, while the bizhub Highveld Lions will still be desperate to force victory to maintain their pressure on the log-topping Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras, who are pressing for victory in their match against the Sunfoil Dolphins.

Bonus points to date: Lions 4.06, Titans 4
