Rain foils Warriors, Knights

East London - The second successive day of washed-out play on Monday has left the Sunfoil Series match between the Warriors and the Knights heading for an inevitable draw at Buffalo Park in East London.

Umpires Adrian Holdstock and Dennis Smith decided that there was no prospect of a waterlogged outfield drying in time for the match to start and a forecast of further showers made their decision even more straightforward.

Good news for the two teams is that play will start at 09:30 am on Tuesday, weather permitting.

The Warriors and the Knights will feel a bit despondent that an outright result is unlikely, as there will only be two days of play, but bonus points will be up for grabs, and they will look to gain as many as possible to close the gap on log leaders, the Cape Cobras.
