SL name Malinga in ODI squad

Colombo - Sri Lanka on Tuesday named paceman Lasith Malinga and opening batsman Upul Tharanga in a 15-man squad for the one-day series in South Africa.

Fast bowlers Nuwan Kulasekara and Kosala Kulasekara will also join the team for the five-match series starting in Paarl on January 11, the governing body, Sri Lanka Cricket, said.

Thilan Samaraweera, Tharanga Paranavitana, Dimuth Karunaratne, Kaushal Silva, Chanaka Welegedara and Kanishka Alvitigala, who are currently on the tour, will return when the ongoing third and final Test ends on January 7.

The Test series is currently tied 1-1.

Sri Lanka one-day squad: Tillakaratne Dilshan (captain), Angelo Mathews, Upul Tharanga, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Dinesh Chandimal, Kosala Kulasekara, Thisara Perera, Lasith Malinga, Nuwan Kulasekara, Ajantha Mendis, Rangana Herath, Dhammika Prasad, Dilhara Fernando, Lahiru Thirimanne.
