SA sponsor extends Test deal

Johannesburg - Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced the extension of the Sunfoil Test sponsorship to the three-match Test series between South Africa and Sri Lanka, starting at SuperSport Park on December 15.

The sponsorship will cover the same elements as the Sunfoil Test Series between the Proteas and Australia which took place last month.

“We were delighted to welcome the Willowton Group to the CSA family for the Sunfoil Test series against Australia and we are equally delighted that they have extended their commitment to our great game,” commented CSA CEO Gerald Majola.

“Their commitment isn’t just to cricket. They are also involved in cricket development at grassroots level and in education through their own Trust fund.

“Test cricket is currently flourishing very strongly as has been seen through recent results between the Proteas and Australia as well as the series between India and the West Indies. The Sunfoil sponsorship will help the five-day game to continue to flourish as we embark on an exceptionally busy period with successive series against Sri Lanka, New Zealand, England and Australia,” Majola added.

Sunfoil Test series fixtures:

1st Test: SuperSport Park, Centurion - December 15-19
2nd Test: Kingsmead, Durban - December 26-30
3rd Test: Newlands, Cape Town - January 3-7

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
