Petersen in Proteas Test frame

Cape Town - Highveld Lions opener Alviro Petersen, who captained the South African 'A' side against Australia last month, will be included in the Proteas' Test squad for the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka.

Peterson, 31, who is currently in Namibia, has been granted leave by Cricket South Africa (CSA) and therefore wasn't included in the South African Invitation XI which was named on Tuesday to face Sri Lanka in a three-day warm-up match at Willowmoore Park, starting on Friday.

The first Test between the Proteas and Sri Lanka at Centurion starts on December 15.
