SL, NZ T20 match rained out

Pallekele - Bad weather has forced the first Twenty20 international between New Zealand and Sri Lanka to be abandoned without a ball being bowled in Pallekele on Tuesday.

Heavy rain since early morning drenched the Pallekele International Stadium and forced the umpires to call off the match at 17:15 when the weather did not clear.

The second match is also scheduled to be played in Pallekele on Thursday.

The preceding one-day series was shared 1-1 with one match rained off.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
