SA Invitational XI win toss, bat

Johannesburg - The SA Invitational XI won the toss and chose to bat first against the West Indians in their three-day match at Willowmoore Park in Benoni on Wednesday.

Groundstaff had their work cut out to get the playing surface ready in time for the match, following heavy rains over the past few days.

The morning began with heavy clouds overhead.

In the tour match SA team would use 13 players during the match and the visitors would field 15 players over the three days.

SA team: Dominic Hendricks (captain), Mangaliso Mosehle, Gihahn Cloete Stiaan van Zyl, Keegan Petersen, Clyde Fortuin, Tabraiz Shamsi, Aviwe Mgijima, Jerry Nqolo, Daryn Dupavillon, Rory Kleinveldt, Rabian Engelbrecht, Beuran Hendricks.

West Indians team: Kraigg Brathwaite, Devon Smith, Leon Johnson, Assad Fudadin, Marlon Samuels, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Jermaine Blackwood, Denesh Ramdin (captain), Kemar Roach, Jerome Taylor, Sulieman Benn, Shannon Gabriel, Jason Holder, Sheldon Cottrell, Chadwick Walton.
